Creating something that outlives

us is deep within our being.

Sharing my heart and soul through

designs, pattern making, and teaching

completes my creative self.

What’s in a name?

My given name is Raamin, which comes from Ancient Egyptian mythology meaning the children of the Sun God RA. The word itself was used, along with other spelling variations, as names for the children of Pharaoh that were not yet old enough to have gone through a naming ceremony.

On top of the unique name, I was 2 years old when Ramen Noodles hit the American market. So, my most common nickname is still Noodles!

The business name is a combination of the nickname and my birth year animal, the dragon. I’ve always loved all creatures mythological so symbolic inclusion was natural.
